At Frumen – Desarrollos Alimentarios S.A., we are deeply honored to receive the Internationalization Accésit in the 9th Edition of the Guadalajara SME of the Year Awards 2025 — an acknowledgment that highlights our path of growth, global vision, and commitment to innovation within the food industry.

The award, granted by Banco Santander, La Tribuna de Guadalajara, and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, inspires us to continue advancing with the same energy and passion that have driven us since our beginnings in 1978, in Azuqueca de Henares.

A recognition for more than two decades of expansion

Since beginning our internationalization process in 2001, we have worked with a clear purpose: to bring our technical breadcrumb, coating and adhesive solutions to new markets, adapting to each country’s needs, regulations, and preferences.

Today, our products are present in more than 30 countries across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. The journey has not been without challenges, but it has been a constant source of learning and growth. Each new market has allowed us to evolve, improve our formulations, and strengthen our capabilities as a specialized manufacturer for the food industry.

As our General Manager, Cristina Expósito, stated during the award ceremony:

“This distinction is a motivation to keep moving in the same direction. We have faced difficulties, but our enthusiasm for the path we started 48 years ago remains intact.”

Sharing this recognition with Guadalajara’s business community

We are especially honored to share this recognition with other companies that represent the effort, innovation, and resilience of our province’s business fabric.

We extend our congratulations to ProIn, awarded as Best SME of the Year 2025, as well as to Regusa Recycling & Recovery, Excavaciones Alro, and Gestión Integral de Envases for their achievements in training and employment, digitalization and innovation, and sustainability.

All of them are examples of the entrepreneurial spirit that defines Guadalajara, and how local collaboration and talent can generate real impact on the economy of Castilla-La Mancha.

An award that strengthens our commitment

This recognition for internationalization is not only a business milestone — it is the reflection of a team that has managed to grow without losing its essence.

Every person who is part of Frumen has contributed with effort, knowledge, and dedication to building a solid, innovative company ready for the future.

We will continue to invest in research, quality, and sustainability as our strategic pillars, driving the creation of products that combine functionality, flavor, and food safety under the highest international standards.

Looking to the future with optimism

The Internationalization Accésit at the Guadalajara SME Awards 2025 arrives at a key moment for Frumen.

Our commitment to food development is stronger than ever, with new innovation, expansion, and global collaboration projects already underway.

We want to thank Banco Santander, La Tribuna de Guadalajara, and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce for this recognition, and everyone — clients, partners, and collaborators — who have been part of our journey.

Because if there’s one thing this path has taught us, it’s that success is not measured only in markets reached, but in the ability to keep growing with enthusiasm, purpose, and teamwork.
